RAWALPINDI, Monday, July 27, 2026 (WNP): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, on Monday congratulated Commander National Strategic Command (CNSC), General Syed Aamer Raza, HI (M), S Bt, on assuming command during a meeting held at the General Headquarters (GHQ).

According to a news release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Syed Aamer Raza called on the Chief of Army Staff following his appointment as Commander National Strategic Command.

During the meeting, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir extended his congratulations to General Syed Aamer Raza on assuming the prestigious command and conveyed his best wishes for the successful discharge of his new responsibilities.

Earlier, General Syed Aamer Raza was presented a Guard of Honour on assuming command of the National Strategic Command in recognition of the occasion.

As part of the ceremony, the newly appointed Commander laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateha to pay tribute to the martyrs, reaffirming the Pakistan Armed Forces’ enduring commitment to honouring the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes.
