Ayaz Sadiq hosts reception for Saudi Shura Council chairman to deepen Pakistan–Saudi parliamentary ties

ISLAMABAD, Thursday, October 9, 2025 (WNP): Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Thursday hosted a reception in honour of the visiting Chairman of the Saudi Shura Council, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, and his delegation at the Parliament House.

The event celebrated the enduring Pakistan–Saudi Arabia friendship and provided a vibrant platform for strengthening parliamentary engagement between the two brotherly nations.

In a warm gesture of hospitality, Member of the Pak–Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Group Shagufta Jumani presented traditional shawls to Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sheikh, and other distinguished guests, symbolizing Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage and deep respect for its Saudi counterparts. The gesture was warmly received and appreciated by the visiting delegation.

The reception brought together lawmakers, diplomats, and senior officials for an interactive exchange of views on further enhancing cooperation between the two legislatures. Participants emphasized the importance of broadening collaboration across political, economic, and cultural spheres, reaffirming their shared commitment to advancing the historic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The gathering was attended by Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, Deputy Speaker National Assembly Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, JUI-F Chief and MNA Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, Federal Minister and Convener of the Pak–Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Group Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, as well as Members of the National Assembly and the Pak–Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Group.
