MAKKAH AL MUKARRAMAH, Sunday, June 01, 2025 (WNP): President of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais has lauded the professionalism and preparedness of Saudi Arabia’s security apparatus during the Hajj season, describing their role as vital to the safety and sanctity of the holy sites.

Speaking ahead of the annual pilgrimage, Dr. Al-Sudais emphasized that the security of the Two Holy Mosques is a “red line that cannot be crossed,” asserting the Kingdom’s readiness to confront any threats to the safety of pilgrims. “Our country—may Allah protect it—stands firm against anyone attempting to tamper with the security of the Guests of Allah,” he stated.

He hailed the dedication of security forces, calling them “a source of pride and honor for every Muslim, every Saudi, and the entire Islamic nation.” Their relentless efforts, he added, reflect an unwavering commitment to safeguarding the comfort, well-being, and spiritual experience of millions of pilgrims.

“We thank Allah Almighty for blessing this land with stability and for endowing it with wise leadership that spares no effort in serving the pilgrims,” Dr. Al-Sudais said. “All resources are mobilized to ensure the peace of mind and safety of the Guests of Allah.”

Calling for cooperation between pilgrims and security personnel, he urged all worshippers to strictly follow official regulations and avoid any behavior that could disrupt the sanctity of the pilgrimage. He stressed that Hajj is a spiritual journey and not a platform for political slogans, sectarian rhetoric, or disputes.

“There is no place in Hajj for partisanship, altercations, or racist discourse. Hajj is a divine obligation that demands purity of heart and conduct,” he said, quoting the Quran: “Let there be no obscenity, nor wickedness, nor argument during Hajj” (2:197). He also cited the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), who said: “Whoever performs Hajj and avoids lewdness, sin, and quarrels, will return as sinless as on the day his mother bore him.”

Concluding his remarks, Dr. Al-Sudais offered prayers for the continued safety and success of the security forces and for enduring peace and stability across the Kingdom.
