ISLAMABAD, Monday, February 9, 2026 (WNP): Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Muhammad Humair Karim, on Monday met with the Country Coordinator of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Saliha Tuna to review ongoing development projects in Pakistan and explore new modalities for expanding bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the progress of TİKA-supported initiatives across various sectors in Pakistan and reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening the longstanding development partnership between Türkiye and Pakistan.
Both sides emphasized the importance of aligning development assistance with Pakistan’s national priorities to ensure sustainable and people-centred outcomes.
The discussions also focused on identifying new areas of collaboration and innovative mechanisms to enhance the effectiveness of development cooperation. They underscored the value of Türkiye’s development experience and TİKA’s role in supporting capacity-building, infrastructure development and social sector projects in Pakistan.
The meeting reflected the depth of Pakistan-Türkiye relations, which are rooted in close historical, cultural and people-to-people ties, and highlighted the mutual resolve to further broaden cooperation for the socio-economic development and shared prosperity of both countries.
