QUETTA, Saturday, January 31, 2026 (WNP): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday visited the Corps Headquarters in Quetta, where he was given a detailed briefing on the recent terrorist incidents and the overall law and order situation in Balochistan, amid heightened security concerns in the province.

The briefing was attended by Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti and the Corps Commander Balochistan, along with senior military and civil officials. Officials apprised the interior minister of the security forces’ response to recent attacks, intelligence assessments, and ongoing counterterrorism operations across sensitive areas of the province.

During the visit, Interior Minister Naqvi lauded the security forces for their timely, coordinated, and effective response against Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH), noting that their swift action had thwarted the terrorists’ objectives.

He paid rich tribute to both security personnel and civilians who embraced martyrdom in the attacks, acknowledging their sacrifices in safeguarding peace and stability.

“The martyrs laid down their lives and foiled the nefarious designs of the terrorists,” the interior minister said, adding that their courage and dedication would be remembered by the nation.

Reaffirming the government’s unwavering commitment, Mohsin Naqvi stressed that the fight against terrorism would continue with full resolve. “The ongoing war against terrorism will persist until the elimination of the last terrorist,” he said, emphasizing that the federal and provincial governments, in close coordination with the armed forces and law enforcement agencies, would not allow militant elements to destabilize Balochistan.

The visit underscored the state’s determination to strengthen security measures, enhance intelligence-based operations, and ensure lasting peace in Balochistan, while honoring the sacrifices of those who have given their lives in the fight against terrorism.
