KYIV, Monday, January 12, 2026 (WNP): Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday welcomed Norway’s decision to provide a $400 million aid package to Ukraine, describing it as a critical contribution to supporting the country amid ongoing Russian aggression.

During a meeting with Norway’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Espen Barth Eide, President Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for Norway’s consistent support for Ukraine’s military and energy sectors since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

The discussions also focused on Ukraine’s energy challenges, as Russian forces continue to target civilian infrastructure, particularly power facilities, intensifying the humanitarian and operational crisis.
