JEDDAH, Saturday, January 10, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in Jeddah on Saturday from Madinah as part of his official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Upon arrival, Senator Dar was received by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Farooq, representatives of the Saudi Royal Protocol, and senior officials of the Pakistan Consulate in Jeddah, including the Deputy Consul General.
During his stay in Jeddah, the deputy prime minister will participate in the Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), where key regional and international issues of concern to the Muslim world are expected to be discussed.
In addition to his multilateral engagements, Senator Dar is also scheduled to inaugurate the newly constructed chancery building of the Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah. Officials said the new facility is aimed at enhancing consular services and improving support for the large Pakistani community residing in western Saudi Arabia.

The visit underscores Pakistan’s active engagement within the OIC framework and its continued efforts to strengthen diplomatic outreach and services for overseas Pakistanis.
