RIYADH, Tuesday, October 28, 2025 (WNP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday congratulated Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman on hosting the 9th edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII), lauding the Kingdom’s visionary leadership and transformative progress.

Addressing a session of the global investment forum, the prime minister said, “We made mistakes in the past, but we learned from them—and that is our real success.”

He emphasized that Pakistan is implementing fundamental reforms and taking firm measures to eliminate corruption, laying the foundation for sustainable growth and transparency.

Highlighting Pakistan’s demographic strength, he noted that 60 percent of the country’s population comprises youth who are being equipped with modern skills and employment opportunities to drive the nation’s future.

“Relying solely on loans is not a solution for any country,” the prime minister cautioned. “Facing global challenges requires a sense of shared responsibility; otherwise, the consequences could be disastrous.”

He underscored that Pakistan is moving rapidly toward technology-driven development and embracing artificial intelligence (AI). “Developed nations must collaborate for the positive use of AI to ensure collective progress in agriculture, industry, and the economy,” he added.

The Future Investment Initiative, often dubbed the “Davos in the Desert,” brings together world leaders, policymakers, and business executives to discuss strategies for sustainable global growth and innovation.
