Turkish Speaker Numan Kurtulmus arrives in Islamabad to attend 3rd Trilateral Speakers’ Conference

ISLAMABAD, Sunday, October 12, 2025 (WNP): Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Dr. Numan Kurtulmus, arrived in Islamabad on Sunday to participate in the Third Trilateral Speakers’ Conference hosted by the National Assembly of Pakistan under the chairmanship of Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

He was warmly received at Islamabad International Airport by Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, who personally welcomed the visiting dignitary. A bouquet was presented to Dr. Kurtulmus as a gesture of goodwill and hospitality, reflecting the deep-rooted friendship between the two nations.

Following his arrival, a brief meeting was held between the two Speakers, during which Ayaz Sadiq said the participation of the Turkish Speaker in the Trilateral Speakers’ meeting was both “a source of great pleasure and honour” for Pakistan.

He emphasized that Pakistan and Türkiye enjoy historic bonds of brotherhood, mutual respect, and unwavering solidarity, which have withstood the test of time. “The people of Pakistan consider the people of Türkiye as their brethren,” he said, adding that both nations have stood shoulder to shoulder in every moment of trial and triumph.

Ayaz Sadiq noted that the two countries have always extended steadfast support to each other’s causes at regional and global platforms — a testament to their enduring friendship and mutual trust.

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, Dr. Numan Kurtulmus said he was delighted and honoured to visit Pakistan. He remarked that “the hearts of the people of Türkiye and Pakistan beat in unison,” describing Pakistan as “Türkiye’s second home.”

He expressed confidence that the everlasting bond of sincerity, affection, and friendship between the two nations would continue to grow even stronger, paving the way for deeper cooperation and shared progress.
