Google to launch AI-powered ads in Pakistan, transforming search marketing for local businesses

ISLAMABAD, Monday, July 14, 2025 (WNP): In a major digital leap for Pakistan’s marketing landscape, Google has announced plans to roll out its “Ads in AI Overviews” feature across several Asia-Pacific markets—including Pakistan—later this year.

The move will enable Pakistani businesses to embed ads directly into AI-generated summaries that appear in Google Search, giving them powerful new ways to reach consumers right at the moment of intent and discovery.

Currently serving over 1.5 billion users worldwide, AI Overviews is already driving more than 10% growth in commercial search queries globally. With the integration of ads, the tool is expected to become a game-changer for businesses seeking greater visibility and performance-driven outreach.

“This new feature allows businesses to align themselves as the next logical step in a user’s search journey,” said Google, explaining that the ads will be tailored to user intent by analyzing both search queries and the context of the AI-generated content.

The initiative is part of Google’s broader suite of AI-driven advertising tools designed to help marketers keep up with the evolving digital ecosystem. Among these are:

  • AI Max for Search: Powered by Google’s Gemini AI, this tool generates high-performing ad headlines and creatives without the need for exhaustive keyword lists.
  • Conversational Campaign Assistant: Acts as a smart assistant in Google Ads and Analytics to generate, optimize, and manage campaigns in real time.
  • AI-Powered Content Creation: Using Imagen and Veo, marketers can create endless variations of impactful image and video ads.
  • YouTube Creator Matchmaking: A smart feature enabling brands to find ideal YouTube creators based on trends, engagement, and audience data—streamlining content promotion.
