RAWALPINDI, Tuesday, June 3, 2025 (WNP): Pakistan’s security forces killed seven terrorists affiliated with the Indian-backed group “Fitna al Hindustan” in two intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Balochistan, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation was conducted in the Mach area of Kachhi District, where troops targeted a terrorist hideout based on actionable intelligence. “During an intense exchange of fire, five terrorists were neutralized,” the ISPR said in a statement.

In a separate operation in the Margand area of Kalat District, security forces raided another hideout, eliminating two more militants belonging to the same group. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the sites.

The ISPR said the terrorists were involved in multiple attacks aimed at destabilizing the region, adding that Pakistan’s armed forces remain committed to rooting out what it described as “Indian-sponsored terrorism.”

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hailed the successful operations, paying tribute to the professionalism and bravery of the security personnel involved.

In his statement, President Zardari said, “India, through its proxies, is spreading terrorism in Pakistan.” He reaffirmed the government’s resolve to continue counterterrorism operations until the threat is fully eliminated.

Prime Minister Sharif echoed the sentiment, stating, “The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces in thwarting the nefarious designs of hostile elements.”

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also praised the security forces, calling the operations a “major success.” He highlighted the government’s resolve to eliminate terrorism and restore lasting peace in Balochistan. “The complete eradication of such threats remains our top priority,” he said.
