PM Shehbaz Sharif reaffirms Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with Saudi leadership and people, stresses threat to regional peace and security

ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, September 8, 2026 (WNP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday strongly condemned the Houthi attack targeting civilian and energy facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which resulted in injuries to several people.

The Prime Minister described the attack as a cowardly and dastardly act, stressing that such attacks threaten innocent lives as well as peace and security across the region.

“Pakistan stands in unwavering solidarity with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia,” the Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to standing by its brotherly country in the face of threats to its security.

He expressed deep concern over the injuries caused by the attacks and prayed for the swift recovery of all those injured.

The Prime Minister reiterated that attacks against civilian and energy infrastructure not only endanger human lives but also pose a serious threat to regional stability, peace and security.

Pakistan, he said, would continue to stand in solidarity with Saudi Arabia and support efforts aimed at safeguarding the Kingdom’s security and territorial integrity.
