NCA and Pakistan’s IT Ministry sign MoU to exchange expertise and best practices in countering emerging cyber threats

RIYADH, Tuesday, September 1, 2026 (WNP): Saudi Arabia’s National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) and Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral cooperation in cybersecurity.

The agreement was signed by NCA Governor Eng. Majed Al-Mazyed and Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja.

The MoU aims to enhance the protection of the cyberspace and vital interests of both countries through greater cooperation, including the exchange of expertise, knowledge and best practices to address emerging cyber threats.

The agreement provides a framework for strengthening coordination between the two sides and supporting efforts to enhance cybersecurity capabilities in response to the rapidly evolving digital threat landscape.

The NCA said the agreement is aligned with its ongoing strategic efforts to reinforce Saudi Arabia’s global leadership in cybersecurity through robust international partnerships and deeper integration with cybersecurity counterparts around the world.

The MoU reflects the shared commitment of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to expand cooperation in cybersecurity and strengthen their capabilities to safeguard digital infrastructure and national interests.
