ISLAMABAD, Friday, July 31, 2026 (WNP): Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, on Friday expressed profound grief over the tragic mine incident in Quetta that claimed the lives of 32 miners.

In a message shared on his official social media account, the ambassador described the incident as “heart-wrenching,” paying tribute to the miners who, he said, had worked tirelessly to provide for their families.

“I receive heart-wrenching news of the tragic mine incident in Quetta claiming the lives of 32 miners who worked tirelessly to provide for their families,” Ambassador Moghadam said.

He extended his heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to the people and Government of Pakistan, particularly to the bereaved families who lost their loved ones in the tragedy.

The Iranian envoy reaffirmed Iran’s solidarity with Pakistan during this difficult time and expressed hope for strength and patience for the grieving families in the wake of the devastating incident.
