President Zardari visits Rukh Ordo Cultural Center, lauds Kyrgyz heritage

CHOLPON-ATA, Monday, July 6, 2026 (WNP): President Asif Ali Zardari, accompanied by President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, on Monday visited the renowned Rukh Ordo Cultural Center in Cholpon-Ata, where he was introduced to the country’s rich cultural heritage, history and traditions.

Soon after his arrival in the Kyrgyz Republic, President Zardari toured the iconic cultural complex alongside President Japarov. During the visit, he was briefed on the significance of the Rukh Ordo Cultural Center as a symbol of the Kyrgyz Republic’s cultural identity and its role in preserving the nation’s historical and spiritual legacy.

The two leaders visited various sections of the cultural center and exchanged views on the importance of safeguarding cultural heritage and promoting mutual understanding among nations through enhanced cultural cooperation and people-to-people exchanges.

A traditional cultural performance was presented in honour of President Zardari, featuring vibrant Kyrgyz folk music, dance and artistic traditions. The performances highlighted the country’s rich cultural diversity and longstanding traditions.

President Zardari appreciated the warm welcome and generous hospitality extended by the Kyrgyz leadership and people. He praised the rich cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz Republic and underscored the importance of strengthening cultural ties as a means of fostering closer friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Later, a state banquet was hosted in honour of President Zardari and his delegation. During the event, traditional Kyrgyz musical performances dedicated to Pakistan and its people were presented, reflecting the warmth of the host nation’s welcome and the enduring friendship and growing partnership between Pakistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.

The visit formed part of President Zardari’s official engagements in the Kyrgyz Republic aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations, enhancing cultural understanding and expanding cooperation across diverse sectors between the two friendly countries.
