BADIN, Thursday, May 7, 2026 (WNP): Secretary General of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Sindh, Maulana Rashid Mahmood Soomro, on Wednesday stressed the need for global peace, dialogue, and diplomatic engagement to prevent conflicts from escalating and destabilising the world.

Speaking to the media, Maulana Soomro said the prevailing local, international, and political situation, along with its background and consequences, raises serious questions regarding the future direction of the world.

“It is certain that the world needs peace, needs a table of dialogue, and needs to resolve conflicts through diplomatic and negotiated means so that the fires of war do not spread and engulf the entire world,” he said.

Referring to regional developments, he claimed that Israel harboured expansionist ambitions extending towards Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, adding that the Muslim world would not allow hostile intentions against either country.

“Today’s gathering has renewed the message that no one will be allowed to cast an eye of enmity upon Pakistan or the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” he stated.

Maulana Soomro said Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam would fully support all measures and initiatives undertaken under the leadership of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman aimed at safeguarding Pakistan’s borders, protecting Harmain Sharifain, and defending Islamic sanctities.

He said the party would not merely extend verbal support but would stand “shoulder to shoulder” in every effort undertaken for the protection of Pakistan and the Two Holy Mosques.

The JUI-F leader reiterated the importance of Muslim unity and collective action to address regional challenges and preserve peace and stability in the Islamic world.
