MOSCOW, Monday, April 13, 2026 (WNP): Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a telephone conversation with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Monday, during which both sides discussed the evolving regional situation.

According to official details, the Russian side stressed the importance of preventing a renewed armed confrontation and underscored the need for restraint amid rising tensions.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov also reaffirmed Russia’s readiness to assist in resolving the crisis, emphasizing that there is no military solution and that dialogue and diplomacy remain essential for achieving lasting peace.
