MANAMA, Saturday, April 4, 2026 (WNP): Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani held a telephone conversation with Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments.

During the call, the two leaders reviewed the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Bahrain and Pakistan and explored ways to further enhance collaboration across various sectors.

According to BNA, they also exchanged views on the evolving regional situation, particularly in light of continued missile and drone attacks attributed to Iran targeting Bahrain and other Gulf Cooperation Council member states, which have resulted in loss of life and property and pose a threat to regional security and stability.

The two sides further discussed political and diplomatic coordination in international forums, especially within the framework of their current roles as non-permanent members of the United Nations Security Council.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of continued coordination and consultation to strengthen regional peace, security, and stability.
