Pakistan, Saudi Arabia reaffirm strategic ties, stress de-escalation efforts

ISLAMABAD, Sunday, March 29, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held talks with Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud during the latter’s official visit to Pakistan, focusing on regional developments and ongoing efforts aimed at de-escalation.

During the meeting, the two leaders held in-depth discussions on the evolving regional situation, emphasizing the importance of dialogue, restraint and coordinated diplomatic efforts to promote peace and stability.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, underscoring the longstanding and brotherly relationship between the two countries.

Earlier, the Saudi foreign minister arrived in Islamabad at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. He was received by Additional Secretary (Middle East) Syed Ahmad Maroof.

During his visit, Prince Faisal is expected to hold consultations on key regional issues, reflecting continued coordination between Islamabad and Riyadh on both regional and international matters.

Officials said the visit highlights the close partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and their shared commitment to working together for regional peace and stability.
