Youth professionals explore nature, setwork & nurture green goals in Khanspur retreat

ISLAMABAD, Wednesday, July 23, 2025 (WNP): Sidra Foundation – alongside Youth Parliament Pakistan, District Youth Office Abbottabad, and the Galyat Development Authority (GDA) -organized a two-day exposure visit to Khanspur for young professionals from diverse fields in a refreshing blend of professional development, environmental awareness, and recreational activities.

Bringing together youth entrepreneurs, media professionals, and clinical psychologists, the retreat offered a unique platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and stress relief in a serene, natural setting.

Among the keynote speakers were Rehan Khan, CEO of Sidra Foundation; Osama Nadeem, Chairman of Youth Parliament Pakistan; Maroof, founder of the eHub initiative; Syeda Yasmin, newscaster at PTV Peshawar; Sidra, clinical psychologist with the HIV/AIDS program; Sardar Yasi, CEO of Heaven Group; and Wazeer Khan, CEO of Marketing. Social activist and entrepreneur Fawad Ali also addressed the participants.

The program featured engaging sessions alongside leisure activities such as archery, balloon shooting, and cricket, ensuring a well-rounded experience for attendees.

In a meaningful gesture to promote environmental stewardship, each participant planted a sapling at the Khanspur cricket ground under the GDA’s tree plantation drive. A total of 150 saplings were planted during the two-day event.

The retreat concluded with a ceremony in which shields were awarded to the guest speakers and winners of the fun competitions, while certificates of participation were presented to all attendees—marking the end of a memorable and impactful experience.
