OGDCL launches free hepatitis C screening, treatment camps across Punjab, Sindh

ISLAMABAD, Monday, September 22, 2025 (WNP): The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has announced a major initiative to eliminate Hepatitis C by organizing free screening and treatment camps across Punjab and Sindh.

According to an OGDCL spokesperson on Monday, the camps will provide free medical tests, examinations, medicines, and expert consultations. The first phase of the campaign will run from September 23 to December 11, 2025.

In Punjab, the camps will be set up at OGDCL health centers in Chakwal, Attock, Gujar Khan, and Dera Ghazi Khan, while in Sindh, camps will be held in Hyderabad, Sanghar, and Ghotki.

The spokesperson noted that OGDCL has already contributed significantly to healthcare in Pakistan by organizing 35 free eye camps, establishing three mobile operation theaters, donating 45 free mammography camps nationwide, as well as providing 100 ambulances and six mobile health units.

Urging the public to participate in large numbers, the company emphasized that timely treatment of Hepatitis C is vital for ensuring a healthy and prosperous life.
