ISLAMABAD, Saturday, October 11, 2025 (WNP): Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organization, Mushaal Hussein Mullick, has issued an urgent appeal to the international community to intervene for the immediate medical treatment of her husband, Muhammad Yasin Malik, the jailed Kashmiri Hurriyat leader currently imprisoned in Tihar Jail, New Delhi.
In an emergency video message, Mushaal called on U.S. President Donald J. Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, to treat Yasin Malik’s deteriorating health as a humanitarian crisis requiring immediate attention.
“My husband’s metallic heart valve, implanted in 1990, must be replaced urgently, yet he is being denied proper medical care,” she said, adding that his condition was rapidly worsening and could become fatal without immediate intervention.
She urged world leaders and human rights organizations to press India to transfer Yasin Malik to a cardiac hospital under independent medical supervision to ensure timely and appropriate treatment.
Concluding her message, Mushaal made a heartfelt plea for global prayers and compassion, saying this was “a call to humanity” to save the life of a man who has dedicated his struggle to the freedom and dignity of the Kashmiri people.
