Govt to offer interest-free loans to youth seeking overseas employment

ISLAMABAD, Sunday, April 20, 2025 (WNP): The government has announced plans to provide interest-free loans of up to Rs 1 million to 100,000 young Pakistanis seeking employment opportunities abroad under the Prime Minister’s Youth Program.

A comprehensive loan package will cover key expenses including skills training, visa fees, travel allowances, and initial settlement costs. The loans will be offered with a flexible repayment schedule, allowing beneficiaries to repay the amount through equal monthly installments over a period of seven to eight years.

Eligible applicants must be between 21 and 45 years of age and must either have a valid job offer or be recruited through licensed Overseas Employment Promoters.

The initiative aims to empower young Pakistanis to pursue global career opportunities, while also contributing to national economic growth and development. By easing financial barriers, the government hopes to enhance the skills and employability of its youth.

This move demonstrates the government’s strong commitment to investing in the future of Pakistan’s youth and promoting sustainable economic development.
