RAWALPINDI, Thursday, May 1, 2025 (WNP): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), on Thursday reaffirmed the unwavering resolve of Pakistan’s Armed Forces to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, warning that any military misadventure by India would be met with a robust and immediate response.

“Let there be no ambiguity: any military misadventure by India will be met with a swift, resolute, and notch-up response,” General Munir said while addressing troops at the Tilla Field Firing Ranges (TFFR), according to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

“While Pakistan remains committed to regional peace, our preparedness and resolve to safeguard national interests is absolute,” the COAS added.

General Munir visited TFFR to witness Exercise Hammer Strike, a high-intensity field training operation conducted by the Mangla-based Strike Corps. He was received on arrival by the Corps Commander.

The exercise was designed to validate operational readiness, battlefield integration, and the employment of advanced weapons systems in simulated near-combat conditions. It featured a broad array of capabilities, including multirole fighter aircraft, combat aviation platforms, long-range precision artillery, and state-of-the-art field engineering technologies.

Participating troops from various arms and services executed synchronized offensive manoeuvres with exceptional tactical proficiency, agility, and cohesion. The exercise also underscored the Pakistan Army’s continued adaptation of emerging technologies to enhance both kinetic and non-kinetic operational effectiveness.

The Army Chief praised the high morale, combat readiness, and professional excellence of the participating troops, calling them a true embodiment of the Pakistan Army’s fighting spirit.

Exercise Hammer Strike reflects the Pakistan Army’s commitment to ongoing transformation through rigorous training, doctrinal innovation, and technological modernization, the ISPR statement said.

Senior military leadership, formation commanders, and dignitaries from all three services were present to witness the exercise.
