Acting CJP Celebrates Easter with Christian Staff at Supreme Court

ISLAMABAD, Wednesday, April 23, 2025 (WNP): Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, joined Christian staff members of the Supreme Court in celebrating Easter at a special ceremony held at the court premises on Wednesday.

In a gesture symbolizing inclusivity and interfaith harmony, the Acting Chief Justice cut a festive cake alongside members of the Christian community serving in the apex court. The event was organized to promote unity, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to diversity within the judicial institution.

Addressing the gathering, Justice Shah highlighted the significance of interfaith understanding and reaffirmed the judiciary’s dedication to upholding the constitutional values of equality, religious freedom, and human dignity, as enshrined in the Constitution of Pakistan, 1973.

He acknowledged the meaningful contributions of Christian employees to the justice system and extended warm Easter greetings to them and their families.

The ceremony was attended by judges and court staff, reinforcing the judiciary’s role as a unifying pillar of the state — committed to fostering peaceful coexistence, tolerance, and respect for all faiths.
