Bilawal chairs key PPP AJK parliamentary group meeting to review political, organizational affairs

ISLAMABAD, Saturday, October 25, 2025 (WNP): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday chaired an important meeting of the PPP Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Parliamentary Group in Islamabad to review the prevailing political situation in the valley and discuss measures for strengthening the party’s organizational structure.

PPP’s Central Women’s Wing President Faryal Talpur also accompanied the chairman during the session, which was attended by senior party leaders including Raja Pervez Ashraf, Qamar Zaman Kaira, and other key figures from AJK.

The meeting featured detailed deliberations on the political landscape of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the challenges faced by the public, and strategies for addressing their pressing issues through coordinated political action. Participants also discussed ways to further improve the party’s organizational infrastructure and grassroots outreach in the region.

Leaders from AJK, including Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Sardar Javed Ayub, and Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan, presented their assessments and recommendations on the current political dynamics.

Other prominent attendees included Mian Abdul Waheed, Javed Iqbal Bandhanvi, Syed Bazil Naqvi, Syed Zia Qamar, Chaudhry Qasim Majeed, Chaudhry Amir Yaseen, Amir Ghaffar Lone, Chaudhry Ali Shan, Javed Butt, Rafiq Neer, Sardar Ahmad Sagheer, Nabeela Ayub, and Chaudhry Pervaiz Ashraf.

Prominent political figures Sardar Qamar Zaman, Chaudhry Muhammad Riaz, and Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan also attended the meeting as special invitees.

The session reaffirmed PPP’s commitment to representing the aspirations of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and advancing the vision of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto for a democratic, inclusive, and prosperous region.
