Dr. Anosh Ahmed pays tribute to martyrs, veterans of 1965 war

KARACHI, Sunday, September 7, 2025 (WNP): Renowned Pakistani-American businessman and philanthropist Dr. Anosh Ahmed, while congratulating the nation on Defence Day, paid rich tribute to the martyrs and veterans of the 1965 war, who always defended the country’s borders with unwavering faith and unmatched bravery.

On the occasion of Defence Day, a special float was prepared by the Anosh Foundation to honor the Pakistan Armed Forces. The float was adorned with pictures of the Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, other services chiefs , martyrs, and veterans.

It was taken across different areas of Karachi, where documentaries related to the freedom movement were presented, along with speeches of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the national anthem, and patriotic songs, which filled the atmosphere with the spirit of nationalism.

During the event, children were given national flag badges, caps, sweets, and other items to spread the spirit of patriotism among the younger generation. flags and other items were also distributed among children on the occasion of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal.

Dr. Anosh Ahmed said that September 6 is a day that reminds us of the indomitable courage and bravery with which the Pakistan Armed Forces defended the country. He emphasized that it is the duty of every Pakistani to play their part with unity for the stability and progress of the nation. He added that just as our brave forces showed extraordinary courage and commitment in 1965, they once again demonstrated unmatched bravery and dedication during Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos Operation’s Marka-e-Haq (The Battle of Truth) in May 2025.

Dr. Anosh Ahmed further said that this day is not merely a commemoration but a message of courage and determination for future generations. “September 6 teaches us unity, sacrifice, and patriotism. The youth of today must build a brighter future for Pakistan through education, hard work, and strong character. Pakistan’s development and prosperity lie in our unity. When the nation moves forward together, no power can harm us,” he concluded.
