PESHAWAR, Saturday, June 21, 2025 (WNP): Veteran journalist and anchorperson Sohail Iqbal Bhatti of GTV was awarded on Saturday night for his balanced and responsible reporting during the recent Pakistan-India conflict, codenamed Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos.
The award was presented by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi at a special ceremony held at the Governor House in Peshawar.
Recognizing Bhatti’s professional integrity and commitment to factual journalism during a time of heightened national tension, Governor Kundi lauded his work as a model of responsible media conduct.
Speaking at the event, Bhatti termed the conflict with India as “Marka-e-Haq” — a just struggle — and reaffirmed the media’s role in upholding national unity and truth.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials, media representatives, and members of civil society.
