ISLAMABAD, Friday, March 13, 2026 (WNP): Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau, Nazir Ahmad Butt, hosted a special Iftar dinner in honor of the children of Pakistan Sweet Home, bringing together orphaned children and cadets from the institution’s Pre-Cadet College for a gathering focused on encouragement and support for their future.
A large number of students, including cadets from the Pre-Cadet College run by Pakistan Sweet Home, attended the event. Addressing the children on the occasion, Lt Gen (Retd) Nazir Ahmad Butt said caring for orphaned and underprivileged children is one of the most noble missions in life.
He said serving such children not only brings social benefit but also holds spiritual reward. “Looking after helpless boys and girls is the most beautiful mission in life, and success in both this world and the hereafter lies in serving humanity,” he remarked.
The NAB chairman expressed gratitude for being associated with Pakistan Sweet Home and pledged continued support for the institution’s humanitarian work.

“I thank Almighty Allah that I am part of Pakistan Sweet Home, and I promise that together we will soon establish a Sweet Home facility in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well,” he said.
Encouraging the children, Butt urged them to focus entirely on their education and personal development, assuring them that their well-being and support would remain the responsibility of those working for the institution.
Head of Pakistan Sweet Home, Zamurrad Khan, in his opening remarks, said Chairman NAB had been among the long-standing supporters of the organization and had played a key role in promoting its welfare initiatives.
He noted that during his tenure as Corps Commander Peshawar, Nazir Ahmad Butt had also contributed significantly to the establishment of the Mir Ali Centre of Pakistan Sweet Home.
Zamurrad Khan said the existence and success of Pakistan Sweet Home reflect the dedication of compassionate individuals who consistently support humanitarian causes and contribute generously to programs aimed at helping vulnerable children.
“As long as society has compassionate patrons like Chairman NAB Nazir Ahmad Butt, no child in any corner of the country will remain helpless,” he said.
He added that the growth of Pakistan Sweet Home is a result of the support of people from all walks of life and the blessings of Almighty Allah, noting that the institution now operates multiple centers across the country providing education, care, and opportunities for orphaned children.
The event concluded with prayers for the well-being and bright future of the children and appreciation for the collective efforts of individuals and organizations working to support underprivileged segments of society.
